Bees United’s boardroom guests at the Swindon Town fixture were Kenneth Gristwood, who was accompanied by his son Jeremy. The guests are pictured at half time with their host for the day, Bees United Director, Paul Stedman.

Whilst Kenneth now lives in Orpington in Kent, he was living in Boston Manor Road when he first came to Griffin Park for an FA Cup Quarter Final tie against Preston North End in 1939. Kenneth’s connection with the Club goes back even further, however, as his grandfather, John Gristwood, was a shareholder when the Club was first formed in 1889.

Nevertheless, the Swindon game was the first time Kenneth had experienced a match from the boardroom and the directors’ box. Whilst he was obviously disappointed by the result, he maintained it was a memorable day.
