The 67 Bees United members who attended the Special General Meeting in Stripes on Thursday 22 December voted unanimously to support the Bees United takeover of the Club in January. Members who had sent in proxies added a further 161 votes in favour and only two against.

This follows the Extraordinary General Meetings on 20 December, when the shareholders of Brentford FC Ltd and Griffin Park Stadium Ltd approved the legal and financial arrangements for the deal. The shareholders of Brentford Holdings Ltd have also confirmed their written approval.

We now have all the approvals we need. The challenge that remains is to finalise all the legal documents for the loans totalling £5.5 million, to collect the money that has been pledged to the Back the Bees campaign and to raise enough additional cash to pay the legal fees.

On behalf of Bees United I wish you all a Happy Christmas and a successful New Year.
