In the wake of the announcement that Ron Noades involvement in Brentford FC has come to an end, Bees United – The Brentford Supporters' Trust – has launched a membership drive.
The main theme is "It's up to us now", with the responsibility of Brentford supporters to ensure that the future of the football club is a healthy one and in its hands.
Brentford FC's debt still stands at around £7.5 million despite Matthew Benham's decision to re-assign the loans provided by Ron Noades and Barclays Bank.
There has been no fresh cash injection of funds so financial assistance from Brentford supporters is vital to the short and medium term future of the club.
Bees United Director of Communications, Mark Chapman, said: "We appeal to all Brentford supporters to join the Trust; especially to those that may have cancelled their membership prior to what is outstanding news for the football club.
"With the club saving around £150k per year in interest charges as a result of Matthew Benham re-assigning Ron Noades’s and the Barclays Bank loan, it is hoped that we can follow this up with an increase in standing orders and membership numbers."
Membership categories are as follows: Life (£300), Adults (£15), Students (£5), Senior Citizens £5, Juniors £2 (under-16s).
