He joins Donald Kerr and David Merritt as the third BU nominee currently on the BFC board to have been elected by Brentford supporters.

As the Club’s majority shareholder – and in line with BU’s partnership agreement with Matthew Benham – BU is entitled to appoint representatives to the BFC board. Apart from three BU representatives, the BFC board currently comprises a representative of Matthew Benham; “investor directors” (or their representatives), who have loaned money to the club; Alan Bird as Finance Director; and Greg Dyke as Chairman of the Football Club.

Mark has also taken on the role of independent adjudicator of the football club’s Customer Charter for this year, a role which a BU nominee carries out annually. Previously this role was carried out by Jon Gosling, who was a BU representative on the BFC board until February 2009. Our thanks go to Jon for all his work on behalf of Brentford supporters.
