Born at an early age, I first became interested in football when England won the World Cup in black and white in 1966. I immediately started following my local team (Cambridge City, in the Southern League), and continued to support local teams through an itinerant life until settling in Richmond in 1987. I rapidly discovered the allure of Brentford FC, and have been a supporter for the last 14 years and a season ticket holder for the last 12 years.

In my alternative (non-football) life, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980, and for the last 14 years I have been Finance Director of a quoted public company (The Television Corporation plc). When I started we had a turnover of £4m and 8 employees: the company now has a turnover of £77m and 457 staff.

Whilst I cannot promise this rate of growth, I feel that professionally I am ideally qualified to administer Bees United finances. More than that, I recognise that Brentford FC is an escape from the pressures of life and work (not to mention her indoors) and I am prepared to do everything possible to ensure the survival of our football club.
